Injectable drug delivery systems using thermosensitive hydrogels offer several advantages such as no surgical procedure for local drug delivery and simple formulation with therapeutic drugs. Biodegradable and thermosensitive poly(organophosphazene) bearing α-amino-ω-methoxy-poly(ethylene glycol), L-isoleucine ethyl ester and glycine lactate ethyl ester as side groups. 2-Methoxyestradiol (2-ME), a representative antiangiogenesis drug, was physically mixed with poly(organophosphazene) solutions at 4 ℃. And their solutions were formed hydrogels at 37 ℃. We studied the 2-ME release behaviors from poly(organophsophazene) hydrogels under various conditions. 2-ME loaded in the hydrogels were released from 15 days to 30days. We found that the release behaviors of 2-ME could be controlled by tuning the gel properties. |
