제목 Synthesis of Energy Harvesting Amphiphilic Star Block Copolymer by ATRP
초록 Amphiphilic star block copolymers with energy harvesting groups were synthesized by Cu based ATRP. For this, a multifunctional initiator with porphyrin core was synthesized and then random copolymerized with hydrophobic n-butyl acrylate (nBA) and coumarin substituted acrylate (CEA) to prepare hydrophobic nBA/CEA star random copolymer with the porpyrin core, where the coumarin dyes transferred their absorption energy to the porphyrin core and then amplified the emission energy from the porphyrin. This random star block copolymers was then used as a macroinitiator to polymerize with hydrophilic 2-(dimethylamino)ethyl acrylate (DMAEA) to give amphiphilic DMAEMA-(nBA/CEA) star block copolymer. Obtained amphiphilic star block copolymer was then examined as a smart polymeric photo-catalyst in polar solvents such as methanol, where a hydrophobic substrate in the polar solvent.
