Polyimide (PI)/organoclay nanocomposite films for flexible substrate were prepared from the solution of poly(amic acid) and organoclays. Poly(amic acid) was prepared from 2,2’-bis-(3,4-dicarboxyphenyl)hexafluoropropane dianhydride (6FDA) and 2,2’-bis(trifluoromethyl)-4,4’-diaminophenyl (TFDB). Dodecylamine-montmorillonite (C12-MMT) and dodecyltriphenylphosphonium-montmorillonite (C12PPh-MMT) are used as organoclays. The ITO was deposited onto the PI/organoclay nanocomposites using a magnetron sputtering system. N,N′-diphenyl-N,N′-bis(3-methylphenyl)-1,1′-biphenyl-4,4′-diamine (TPD), aluminum tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) (Alq3), and aluminum were deposited on the PI/organoclay substrate to fabricate flexible organic light-emitting devices. In this work, we investigated the optical, electrical and adhesion properties of ITO thin films. The performances of devices made on nanocomposite substrates were analyzed and compared with those of devices on glass and pure PI substrates. |
