제목 Preparation of highly durable antifogging coating using colloid silica and silane cupling agents
초록 Fogging occurs when the surface of a solid is exposed to a humid environment or when the temperature is changed from a low temperature to a high temperature. When fogging occurs on optical substrates that require transparency, such as PET or glass, it becomes opaque and water droplets formed on the surface cause great obstacles in use due to scattering of light. Most anti-fog coatings to solve this problem have tended to lose durability and stain resistance properties in a short period of time.

In this study, an antifogging coating with excellent long-term durability was prepared on a PET substrate using colloidal silica, a hydrophilic component, and a silane coupling agent. At this time, after the surface of the substrate was modified with oxygen plasma, inorganic silica nanoparticles were attached to the surface of the substrate using GPTMS, a silane coupling agent, to make it hydrophilic. After that, the coating film was exposed to each of the general laboratory environments and harsh conditions, and the contact angle, anti-fogging properties, self-cleaning ability, etc. were measured to observe the long-term durability of the coating film.
