제목 | Nanoporous Membranes for Bio-materials Separation by using Asymmetric Block Copolymers |
초록 | In this study, a new membrane material with nanoporous films prepared by block copolymer was prepared for the separation of bio-materials. Polystyrene-block-poly(methyl methacrylate) (PS-b-PMMA) copolymer with PMMA cylindrical nanodomains was spin-coated onto a neutral brush modified by polystyrene-random-poly(methyl methacrylate) copolymers (PS-r-PMMA) attached on a Si wafer having a thick silicon oxide layer (~ 100 nm). After the removal of PMMA phase by UV irradiation and rinsing by acetic acid, the nanopores were formed. The nanoporous film was floated by HF solution on porous supporting materials. Permeation experiments were carried out in a dead-end ultrafiltration module (Amicon, 8010 stirred cell). We found that compared with conventional polycarbonate membrane, the flux of deionized water increased by 500 times when nanoporous block copolymer film was used. Furthermore, Human Rhinovirous 14, a virus causing common cold, was successfully separated. |
