제목 | Nanoparticle-mediated cellular signaling control |
초록 | One important trend in next-generation medicine is theranostics that is defined as the combination of therapeutics and diagnostics on a single platform. Nanoparticles have a great potential to be applied for theranostics, with a variety of functionalities for diagnostics and therapeutic/regenerative medicine. Various nanoparticles can be used as a versatile tool for manipulation of sub-cellular structures and probing biological functions. In contrast to conventional biochemical ligands, they have the potential of cellular activity modulation with spatio-temporal controllability. With external controllers or specific endogenous conditions, they can generate several kinds of energies. These kinds of energies can be used to initiate cell signaling in biological systems, which can manipulate cellular activities. In this talk, I’ll present that several examples of nanoparticles can control cell fate in a remote and precise fashion. |
