제목 Preparation of Epoxy Resin/Montmorillonite Nanocomposites
초록 The polymer nanocomposites have attracted a lot of attention of enhancing polymer properties especially mechanical properties by the addition of a small amount of filler. The objective of this study is an improvement of mechanical properties of an Epoxy resin/montmorillonite(MMT) nanocomposites. Epoxy resin/MMT nanocomposites which have different kinds of MMT and compositions were prepared by a casting method using a mold. Morphology of Epoxy resin/MMT nanocomposites was investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM). Thermal stability and mechanical properties of the nanocomposites were measured by thermogravimetric analyzer(TGA) and universal testing machine, respectively. From the results of XRD and TEM measurement of nanocomposites, we confirmed that MMT was partially exfoliated. The mechanical properities of nanocomposites showed significant enhancement compare with neat epoxy resin.
