In the cosmeceutical industry, developing anti-aging and depigmentating agents is an important subject. Previously, we proved that caffeoyl amino acid amides exhibited enhanced anti-oxidative activity. Tyrosinase is another target for developing cosmeceuticals because this enzyme plays a key role in melanogenesis. Hydroxamic acid, a metal chelator, has potential to inhibit tyrosinase activity. Thus, in this study, we synthesized caffeoyl amino acid C-terminal modified derivatives including the caffeoyl amino acid hydroxamic acid. To compare their anti-aging and depigmenting activities, we screened them by DPPH test, lipid peroxidation test, and tyrosinase inhibition test. |
