Organic photovoltaic cell (OPVs) have attracted considerable attention in recent years because of their advantage of low cost, flexibility and fabrication by solution process. However, the efficiency of OPVs have yet to accomplish commercial application. One approach to overcome this is to utilize materials with great differences of solubility in organic solvent versus alcohol/water. Recently, the use of a alcohol/water-soluble conjugated polymer (PFN) as electron-transport layer in polymer based OPVs was developed. In this study, Poly[(9,9-dioctyl-2,7-fluorene)-alt-(9,9-bis(3’-(N,N-dimethylamino)propyl)-2,7-fluorene)] (PFN) was polymerized by suzuki coupling reaction adjusting polymerization time in microwave. This polymer was fabricated by interlayer device and characterized photovoltaic properties. |
