In the separation of copper(Ⅱ) ion from the aqueous solution by liquid emulsion membrane containing D2EHPA(di-dthylhexyl phosphoric acid) as carrier, ultrasonic homogenization was used in emulsification with a view to finding the most suitable condition if such variable as surfactant concentration of Span 80, the amount of W/O emulsion solutions, H2SO4/surfactant ratio and H2SO4 concentration of the internal water phase on the separation efficiency. Based on the examination the optimal conditions were pursued for the highest separation of copper(Ⅱ) ion.
