제목 | The fluorescence-quenching effect of a new water-soluble polybenzimidazole by bipyridine |
초록 | Water-soluble conjugated polymer sensors using a fluorescence-quenching effect by methyl viologen (MV2+) have been one of the most attracting research fields. The quenching result from the electron transfer from excitations on the polymer chain to the acceptor. Until now, many PPV derivatives have been studied for the chemosensor. Though PPV have led to development of a new class of fluorescence-based sensors, they sill have several problems such as the uncertain quenching mechanism, low fluorescence and quenching efficiencies. In this presentation, we report a new water-soluble polybenzimidazole having a fluorene group in the backbone. The synthesized water-soluble polymer shows good quenching efficiency and is expected to have improved properties such as a high PL quantum yield. Details of synthesis, structural characterization and photophysical properties of the polymers will be presented. |
