Effect of vinyl carbazole on the electro-optical properties of holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal(HPDLC) have been studied. Diffraction efficiency of the HPDLC films has been increased with the addition and increasing amount of vinyl carbazol, together with the increased mixture viscosity, by which rates of reaction and phase separation have been decreased. At the applied voltage, addition of vinyl carbazol in prepolymer mixture reduced driving voltage due to locally increased electric field intensity of the film conductivity vinyl carbazole. |
