Fluorescent Block Copolymer Integrated MoS2 Nanocomposites for Real-Time Photothermal Heating and Imaging |

We develop an imageable photothermal (PT) nanoagent using opto-thermally responsive block copolymer integrated MoS2s (BCP-MoS2s) for simultaneous PT heating and mapping of multiscale temperature profile. In particular, upon near-infrared (NIR) exposure, PT energy from MoS2 increased local temperature and induced coil to globule conformation change of BCPs, providing efficient Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET). Consequently, we could visualize local temperature by fluorescence contrast, proceeding with excellent reversibility, and dispersion stability in water. Importantly, we demonstrated that the use of BCP-MoS2 for PT heating and fluorescent response was fully reversible with excellent stability. In addition, our system was demonstrated in organic matrices for applications of flexible high-resolution thermographic display and thermo-controller. |
