Highly functionalized branched dendrimers have been used in numerous applications and multi-non-linear optical chromophore containg dendrimers have been significantly attention as a promising candidates for making electro-optic (EO) devices, since the electric field poling of dendrimers containing chromophore are often prevented from hinderance by large dipole moment of the molecules. Recently, we have developed new synthetic methodology of four-armed thiols which were introduced non-linear optical chromophores to give new sulfur-containing dendritic NLO Chromophores. In this study, we will disscuss synthesis of new NLO chromophore terminated poly(thioether) dendrimers and their properties. |
