제목 Molybdenum Disulfide As A Upconversion Contrast Agent  for Photoacoustic Tomography
초록 The near-infrared (NIR) refers to the range of wavelengths of 700-1300 nm in which biological tissues are transparent. It can be possible to employ light at these wavelengths for the monitoring and triggering of biological events in vitro and in vivo. For example, photoacoustic tomography(PAT) takes advantage of NIR absorbing materials for transducing light into non-radiative signal. Another one is up-convsersion luminescence(UCL) which are able to emit photons by NIR light. Both techniques have been widely explored as novel imaging method in biomedical imaging. PAT and UCL can improve the penetration depth. Here, we report MoS2 as an intrinsic multimodal contrast agent for both PAT and UCL. The MoS2 is a mixed phase two-dimensional amphiphile which is easy to synthesize and directly dispersible in water. Also, sulfur terminated molecules could be used to modify eMoS2 to acquire better biocompatibility. A monolayer MoS2 shows unique optical properties due to the quantum confinement.
