제목 Biocompatibility of the biodegradable PU/PEGDA IPNs
초록 Biocompatibility, especially blood-compatibility, is considerably affected by surface morphology of materials. The surface morphology of multicomponent polymers due to the mechanism of phase separation can be controlled by changing kinetics, composition and thermal conditions. In this study, hydrophobic Polyurethane(PU)/hydrophilic Poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG) IPNs were synthesized. The PU prepolymer having biodegradable and biocompatible Poly( -caprolactone) (PCL) was synthesized. The end group (-OH) of PEG was substituted to crosslinkable acrylate group by using Acrylolyl chloride(Ac) and Triethylamine(TEA) to obtain the crosslinkable Poly(ethylene glycol)diacrylate (PEGDA). The amphiphilic IPNs were synthesized by changing the PEG molecular weight to obtain the different of surface morphology. And also the effect of surface morphology on blood-compatibility was successfully investigated by in-vitro platelets adhesion test. Contact angle measurement additionally revealed the change of hydrophilicity of the surface, related to the surface morphology.
