Holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal(HPDLC) has been fabricated based on solubility parameter(SP) gaps by changing the type of reactive diluent and oligomer size at two LC loadings. Films having large SP gap between LC and polymer which use N-vinyl-pyrrollidone(NVP) as reactive diluent gave much fast saturation of diffraction efficiency, but failed to operate. On the contrary, films having small SP gap using ethylhexyl acrylate(EHA) were operated under 20V with response time of about 10ms though their saturation of diffraction efficiency was relatively slow. The results were interpreted in terms of SEM morphology, voltage-transmittance curve and polymer elasticity. |
