제목 Thin Films of Block Copolymers and Their Micelles with Nanoparticles
초록
Self-assembling materials have an ability to spontaneously arrange themselves into ordered structures due to thermodynamic driving forces and non-covalent secondary interactions. A block copolymer composed of different polymers covalently linked is a good example of self-assembling polymers. In bulk, block copolymers self-assemble into structures on the tens of nanometer length scale. Such nanodomains can be utilized as so-called nanoreactors to synthesize a variety of nanoparticles. That is, nanoparticles can be selectively synthesized within the nanodomains of block copolymers. Additionally, in a selective solvent for one of the block, nanometer-sized micelles consisting of a soluble corona and an insoluble core are formed above the critical micelle concentration. These micelles can be also used to solubilize nanoparticles in the core. Since a thin film form of materials is necessary for many practical applications, thin films of block copolymers and their micelles containing nanoparticles will be discussed in this presentation.
