제목 Synthesis of Multilayered Structure of Ultra-Thin Single Crystalline Gold Nanosheets Using Polymeric Template
초록 A novel synthetic approach to the ultra-thin (< 2 nm) multilayered single crystalline gold nanosheets using amphiphilic comb-like polymers as templates was presented. The poly(oxyethylene)s containing amphiphilic decyl-oligo(oxyethylene) side chains with the thioether linking groups were synthesized via polymer analogous reactions. These polymers and LiAuCl4 were mixed in tetrahydrofuran and then dried in vacuum. The homogenized complexes were exposed to UV (> 350 nm, 150 W). After 24 h, multilayered gold nanosheets, where the thickness is about 1.7 nm, were observed from transmission electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. The formation of the multilayered nanosheets was ascribed to the self-assembled layered structure of the complex of the polymer and precursor. Interestingly, the dispersed solution of the nanosheets was found to emit red light when excited by UV. The photoluminescence properties were also studied.
