Polypropylene (PP) has been used in wide range of applications such as packaging, textiles and automotive components. Addition of nanoscale graphene fillers to the PP matrix can result in dramatic improvement of the physicochemical properties. However, this fact is limited by its dispersion in the PP matrix. In the present investigation, the role of diamine functionalized graphene nanofillers (Graphene-HMDA) on the mechanical and electrical of the PP nanocomposites is determined. Standard characterization tools such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) to understand the structure, morphology, melt crystallization and degradation properties of the resultant PP nanocomposites. |
