제목 Characterization of the sulfonated poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide(sPPO) for URFCs(United Regenerative Fuel Cells)

The sulfonated poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide(sPPO) membrane was prepared for the unitized regenerative fuel cells (URFCs). However, according conditions, sulfonation degree of the sulfonated poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide(SPPO) is changed and it caused degradation of membrane in the URFCs(United Regenerative Fuel Cells) system. The ionic conductivity, water uptake, dimensional change and IEC of sulfonated poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide(sPPO) membrane is fairly changed depending on sulfonic acid functional groups (SO3H) in the membrane. Therefore, discovering the ideal conditions about preparation of sPPO is going to be useful for increasing cells capability and operating URFCs system.
