Proton exchange membranes generally used in redox flow battery as separator. These proton exchange membranes have high conductivity but also high permeability. Permeation of electrolyte can reduce lifetime of electrolyte. The anion exchange membrane can use to solve this problem despite low conductivity. The aminated polymer by trimethylamine can use as an anion exchange membrane. Thus, test ion conductivity and permeability, ion exchange capacity, water uptake, redox flow battery cell performance for compare with typical proton exchange membrane, Nafion. |
