제목 Enhancing Li+ ion-conductivity in solid composite electrolyte with CeO2 filler
초록  Solid composite electrolyte (SCE) composed of polymer electrolyte and ceramic fillers is considered a promising electrolyte for all-solid-state batteries owing to good interfacial contact, flexibility, and enhanced ionic conductivity than solid polymer electrolyte. However, although the SCE has improved ionic conductivity than solid polymer electrolytes, its value is still insufficient.


 In this work, we designed CeO2 as filler material for the SCEs. CeO2 has high oxygen vacancy concentration and excellent chemical stability. Oxygen vacancy at the filler surface act as lewis acid and interact with Li-salt in polymer electrolyte. This interaction promotes salt dissociation and leads to ionic conductivity enhancement in SCE. The high oxygen vacancy concentration at CeO2 facilitated Li-salt dissociation easier in polymer electrolyte and improved the ionic conductivity of SCE.
