제목 Preparation of carboxylate functionalized PIMs for gas separation membranes
초록 Polymers of intrinsic microporosity (PIMs) have recently gained considerable attention for gas separation membrane, owing to their high surface area and solution processability. Since PIM-1, representative PIMs, have been synthesized, many researchers prepared novel PIMs containing various functionalities such as tetrazole and thioamide and they showed excellent gas separation properties. Several researchers have reported on carboxylate functionalized PIMs but highly carboxylate functionalized and solution-processable PIMs have not been prepared yet. In this work, highly carboxylate functionalized PIMs were prepared by alkaline hydrolysis methods and this reaction process was observed by 1H NMR and FT-IR. The highly carboxylate functionalized PIM  membranes exhibits superior gas separation properties for several industrially important gas pairs such as CO2/N2 or O2/N2 pairs.
