제목 |
Synthesis of α,ω-heterotelechelic poly(ethylene oxide) using phthalimide potassium salt as a functional initiator. |
초록 |
Alkali metal alkoxides have been used as excellent anionic initiators to polymerize ethylene oxide resulting in living polymerization. In this study, phthalimide potassium salt as an anionic functional initiator was used. Polymerization of ethylene oxide was performed in DMF at 55℃ for 12h, followed by precipitation in excess diethyl ether. The resulting polymer was delivered into the flask containing trimellitic anhydride chloride via a dropping funnel under inert gas leading to the generation of heterotelechelic poly(ethylene oxide). Deimidation of the resulting polymer was carried out using hydrazine/HCl solution in DMSO at 120℃ for 24h to obtain α-amino-ω-anhydride PEO. In addition, ω-brominated PEO was synthesized through the similar method using 2-bromopropionyl bromide. In this presentation, we report the preliminary results for synthesis of heterotelechelic PEO and their application field. |
