Synthesis of α-biotin-ω-thiol poly(ethylene oxide) and its use for the preparation of Au nanoparticles |
초록 |
The biotin group is well known for remarkably targeting function to tumor cell. In this respect, it is thought that biotin alkyne seems to be employed for the introduction of the biotin group at the polymer chain end through click chemistry with the azide group. In our laboratory, we successfully synthesized α-azide-ω-thiol poly(ethylene oxide). The resulting product can react with commercially available biotin alkyne leading to the product, α-biotin-ω-thiol PEO, which can be used for the synthesis of Au nanoparticles for tumor targeting. The efficacy of the resulting PEO-stabilized gold nanoparticles in the mice was investigated through the photoluminescence test. Furthermore, the cytotoxicity and tumor imaging ability of the resulting nanoparticles were studied using serum of the mice. In this study, the preliminary results will be presented. |
