제목 Effect of Fe3O4 Nanoparticle Orientation on the Magnetic Properties of Polymer Composite Thin Films
초록 We investigated the effect of Fe3O4 nanoparticle (NP) orientation on magnetic properties of polymer nanocomposite thin films. In order to obtain the NP-oriented composite multilayer, we applied Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique and performed the alternative deposition of spin-coated PMMA thin films and closely packed NP monolayers. Neutron reflectivity experiments were conducted to investigate the structure along film depth of the polymer-Fe3O4 NP multilayer. From the magnetic property results of the polymer nanocomposite thin film using SQUID, we can conclude that dipole-dipole interaction between NPs was significantly affected by particle orientation. Without the particle orientation, for example, spin-coated polymer-Fe3O4 NP composite thin films with homogeneous particle distribution, zero remanent magnetization and coercivity were exhibited due to isolation of the NPs and the reduction of the interparticle interactions.
