Fabrication of Conducting Nanofiber using Electrospinning |

Conducting nanofiber mat was prepared by using polythiophene (PT), poly(styrene sulfonic acid) (PSSA) and polyethylene oxide (PEO). PT was synthesized via Fe3+-catalyzed oxidative polymerization. PSSA was used for preparation of particle as stabilizer and formation of fiber as co-spinable polymer. PEO was chosen as the spinable polymer since it is known to be easily electrospun and relatively soluble in polar solvent. The morphology and structure of the fibers have been studied with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and confocal laser microscopy. Conductivity was analyzed by surface resistance meter and 4-point prove method. Especially, we were investigated the effect of conductivity and fiber morphology with PT and PEO ratio. These findings exhibit that electrospun PT:PSSA/PEO nanofibers are the promising candidate for field effect transistor. |
