Subphthalocyanine (sub-PC) derivatives, which are macrocycles formed by three isoindole moieties having a delocalized 14π –electron, have been received great attention as functional material with the ability of excellent building block of unsymmetric phthalocyanine and excellent nonlinear optical properties. Sub-PC derivatives showed different photochemical and electrochemical characters since their substituted functional group such as iodo, nitro, alkyl- arythio and arylsulfonly. This study investigated the possibility of microwave application and effects of microwave irradiation for synthesizing substituted sub-PCs in the clean and effective condition. The yield, purity, photochemical characters, and electrochemical characters of sub-PC derivatives microwave synthesized were compared with classical synthesized one. |
