제목 High Electron Mobility Transistor(HEMT) Based Cortisol Sensing Using 2 nm Gold Nanoparticles as Aptamer Binding Beacon
초록 Recently, monitoring of cortisol concentration can be an important indicator to evaluate the overall physiological status or mental disease like post trauma syndrome disorder(PTSD). In this study, cortisol is sensed using a AlGaN/GaN High Electron Mobility Transistor (HEMT) and three different aptamer probes that selectively binds to cortisol were examined. For the effective indicator of aptamer probing ability, 2 nm gold (Au) nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized and utilized as a beacon of the aptamer binding toward cortisol. The sensing mechanism is based on the change in resistance with the target sample binding to the HEMT sensing surface layer. In addition, low limit of detection (LOD) was attained by increasing sensing sensitivity using 2 nm Au NPs.
