Strategy for the Production of Biobutanol Using Polymer-loaded Two-phase Partitioning Bioreactor |
초록 |
Since the conventional two-phase partitioning bioreactor (TPPB) containing an organic solvent was found to be hardly efficient for biobutanol production, polymer bead was alternatively employed as the second phase in the TPPB. The mathematical model for the TPPB was suggested and simulation study was carried out. The model considers product and by-products inhibitions on cells and mass transfers from aqueous phase to polymer beads and to condenser by stripping were also considered. On the basis of simulation results, a novel strategy based on the initial glucose concentration was suggested for high biobutanol production |
