Controlled radical polymerization (CRP) techniques offer the opportunity to properly design polymer chains under mild experimental conditions. Among these techniques, cobalt-mediated radical polymerization (CMRP) can be distinguished by its ability to control the polymerization of very reactive monomers, such as vinyl acetate (VAc) and N-vinyl pyrrolidone (VP). In this study, biodegradable amphiphilic poly(N-vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) block copolymers were synthesized via a combination of CMRP and ROP, and their micellar characteristics were subsequently investigated. |
