Downstream processing in the pharmaceutical industries is very important because it can save the cost and time of the manufacturing process by improvement of processability. If the crystal particles have high aspect ratios, they can be easily damaged during processing and have poor fluidity, causing problems in the downstream processes such as packaging and filtration in the pharmaceutical industry. To solve these problems, various studies have been conducted to change the physicochemical properties of drugs such as the size, shape and aspect ratio of drug crystals. In this study, naproxen, which is used as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, was produced by using drowning-out crystallization with uniform porous devices, and the change in the properties of the drug was verified through the examination of various parameters. These changes improve the flowability of drugs and provides the possibility of solving problems in the downstream processes. |
