제목 Hydrogen-Bonded Small Molecules having Pyrazole End-Group for Photovoltaic Devices
초록 Organic photovoltaic cells are of growing interest for their solution processibility and flexibility. So far, most organic solar cells are bulk heterojunction devices, which use a blend of electron donor/acceptor for active layer. Small molecules have some synthetic advantages as donor material like good reproducibility, easy purification and high molecular weight precision compared with polymers, however, their low viscosity causes a problem of film formation because of low intermolecular interaction. Among many donor materials, thiazolothizole shows highly extended π-electron system and strong π-π stacking due to rigid and coplanar fused rings. In this presentation, we demonstrate the synthesis and characterizations of thiazolothiazole derivatives including pyrazole end-group for improvement of intermolecular interaction using hydrogen-bonding. The molecular structure and their optical, thermal and electrochemical properties were investigated.
