제목 VOCs removal properties of CuO doped activated carbon fibers by electroless plating
초록 Benzene gas is harmful gas to the human body, inhalation of benzene can induce cancer of the blood. To remove harmful gas through an adsorption technique is important in environmental and human health. The capacity of gas adsorption is related to the surface properties. In this study, CuO particles were doped by electroless plating to enhance the removal characteristics of benzene gas. As the result of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy data, it shows that the amount of CuO on activated carbon fibers surface increased with increased plating time. Removed at 100 ppm benzene gas untreated activated carbon fibers(ACFs) takes for 5 h, while CuO-doped ACFs have increased by fourfold. This result shows that CuO particles improve the benzene removal efficiency.
