Fibrin gel encapsulation inside the porous scaffold was applied to improve cell seeding efficiency and cell compatibility inside the scaffolds. The PLGA porous scaffolds were fabricated using an established solvent casting and particulate leaching (SC/PL) method. For fibrin formation inside the porous scaffold, the thrombin and fibrinogen concentrations were varied to control the gelation kinetics and the modulus of fibrin gel, respectively. The cell seeding by uniform fibrin gel formation at a proper condition inside the scaffold resulted in the increased cell seeding efficiency, the better cell proliferation, and the increased final cell density in the porous scaffold.
