제목 Characterization of irradiated polyolefin foams having Artificial marble and Fly ash
초록 The improvement of flame retardancy of the foams based on polyolefin compounds were conducted by formulating various materials such as fly ash and artificial marble(AM). AM consists of various materials such as aluminium trihydroxide(ATH), alumina and silica etc. that were used for improving flame retarding properties of polymeric composites. Radiation curing of the polyolefin resins by electron beam has been of great interest for flame retarding application. E-beam(EB tech) radiation absorption dose is in the range of 40 ~50 kGy.It gives much shorter curing time, low shrinkage, lower tooling cost, improved performance and elimination of hazardous cross-linking agent etc..The foams were characterized by using LOI, UL 94, TGA, DSC, image analyser and SEM.
