제목 | Photopolymerization of Methacrylate Monomers for Hydrogel in Bio-MEMS |
초록 | Photopolymerization is one of the most rapidly expanding process for materials production, e.g. dental materials, conformal coatings, electronic and optical materials, and prototyping of three-dimensional objects. Especially, the Bio-MicroElectroMechanical System(Bio-MEMS) application of photopolymerization process is very important because the size of the biological materials, e.g. DNA, protene, and cell, is micro or nano scale. It is possible to prepare hydrogel polymer using photopolymerization process. Photopolymerization process of acrylate monomers is fast and useful methods to make micro-scale devices because of the various advantages including solvent-free formulations, very high reaction rates at room temperature, and low energy input. In this study, UV photopolymerizations of methacrylate monomers with typical photoinitiators have been examined by using Hg-UV lamp(λmax=365 nm). Methacrylate monomers were 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, 2-(diethylamino) ethyl methacrylate, and poly(ethylene glycol) ethyl ether methacrylate. And Igacure 184 was used as photoinitiator. The effect of the methacrylate monomer ratios and the preparation method on the properties of final products was examined. The effect of the irradiation time and the contents of the photoinitiator on properties were also studied. |
