The solid polymer electrolyte using microphase-separated block copolymer have technological and scientific interest due to their potential applications in solid state lithium ion batteries. Especially, poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO)-containing block copolymers, together with ionic salts of alkali metals are well-known as high-conductivity solid polymer electrolytes and potential candidate materials for batteries. In this work, PS-b-PEO-b-P2VP triblock copolymer are complexed with lithium perchloride salt for different [EO]/[Li] ratios. For comparison, PS-b-PEO and PS-b-P2VP diblock copolymers are treated in the same way. The effects of solvent for block copolymer solution and annealing were investigated together with salt effects on the block copolymer nanostructure. Electrical conductivity, measured as a function of salt concentration, exhibits strong dependence of film morphology and block copolymer type. |
