제목 | Magnetic properties of electrodeposited Co-Pt alloy films |
초록 | Co-Pt and Fe-Pt equiatomic alloys have been a promising material for high density magnetic recording media due to the high magnetic anisotropy and high coercivity. But these alloys require high deposition temperature or post annealing to obtain hard magnetic properties. In this study, Co-rich Co-Pt alloy was fabricated by electrodeposition which has hard magnetic properties without heat treatment and can be applied to fill nano hole and the porous nano template. The electrodeposition experiments were carried out to investigate the Co-Pt alloy with a wide alloy composition by varying the various process conditions of current density, the pH, temperature, molarity. The plating solution was composed of Co sulphamate solution and Pt P salt. Co-Pt dot arrays were fabricated by imprint lithography. Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy and coercivity of Co-Pt alloy films were analyzed by using VSM, and Torque meter. By varying process conditions, the composition of electrodeposited Co-Pt alloy films changed from Co-15 at.% Pt to Co-30 at.% Pt. These films exhibited high perpendicular magnetic anisotropy and high coercivity of up to 6 kOe without heat treatment. |
