제목 Production and Separation of Hydrogen from dimethyl ether using a membrane reactor
초록 Dimethyl ether (DME) steam reforming was performed using a commercial Süd-Chemie Cu/Zn/Al2O3 catalyst in a fixed-bed continuous reactor and a Pd/Ni composite membrane reactor. The DME conversion of 77 % and the H2 composition of 50 % were obtained in the fixed-bed reactor while the membrane reactor provided almost 100 % DME conversion and 55 % H2 proportion at 420oC. Moreover, the H2 concentration of permeated gas through the membrane was 85 % which is higher than the theoretical ratio of H2 (75 %). Increasing the temperature from 360 to 440oC decreased the DME conversion from 70.3 to 99.9 % in the membrane reactor. The CO concentration of the generated gas decreased with increasing the molar ratio of H2O/DME.
