Various polymers have been used to prepare injectable hydrogels. Visible light curing system is cytocompatible and an effective tool for preparation of injectable hydrogel without risk of physical damage. The glycol chitosan (GC), one of the water-soluble chitosan derivatives, has been widely used as a carrier for controlled drug delivery system (DDS) due to its water solubility, biocompatibility, and biodegradability. Therefore, in this study, we prepared an injectable GC hydrogel system crosslinked by visible light irradiation with a controlled release of doxorubicin-hydrochloride as a local DDS and investigated its antitumor effect on breast cancer in vivo. |
