In recent years, interest in sanitary products has been rising due to the improvement in living standards, and the market of antibacterial fibers, which suppresses bacterial reproduction, is rapidly expanding in the textile sector. Cu2O nanoparticles are antibacterial materials and are attracting attention in the antibacterial fiber market because they are cheaper and have similar antibacterial properties compared to commonly used Ag nanoparticles. Synthesis temperature is an important parameter which affect the nucleation and the rate of nanoparticle growth. Therefore, in this study, Cu2O nanoparticles were synthesized according to temperature variables by wet reduction method. And it was confirmed by-products were produced at certain conditions. The effect on antibacterial activity was also observed. The morphology of the synthesized sample was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and the crystal structure was analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). |
