제목 Performance Evaluation of FDR (Frictional Drag Reduction) Anti-fouling Paints
초록 Performance of FDR anti-fouling (AF) paints was evaluated by several methods. In this study, we developed the self-polishing copolymer paints containing the functional groups for drag-reduction.  These FDR AF paints have reduced the skin frictional drag by the effect of dissolved polymers from coatings. We examined the drag reduction properties of FDR AF paints employing LDV (laser Doppler velocimetry) test and anti-fouling performance using image analysis method after the immersion test of coated panels. As a result, FDR AF paints showed FDR effect of approximately 25% relative to baseline AF.
