제목 Synthesis and Characterization of PVP/PEO Hydrogels Using E-beam Irradiation
초록 The beneficial uses of E-beam irradiation in health care and polymer processing industries were received great attention. E-beam irradiation has many advantages over the conventional methods regarding the cross-linking reaction. No catalyst or additive is required to make gelation of various polymers in E-beam irradiation. Absorption of E-beam irradiation by the main chain in polymer generally initiates a free radical formation. In this work, we synthesize various hydrogels of PVP or PVP/PEO using E-beam irradiation with different polymer ratio. Also, PVP/PEO hydrogels with different molecular weight of PEO were fabricated. And we check the gelation rate and swelling degree of hydrogels. The characteristics of the hydrogels were characterized by various analytical tools.
