제목 Highly Active Zn-Co Double Metal Cyanide-Catalyzed Ring-opening Polymerization of Epoxides  
초록 A series of Zn-Co double metal cyanide (DMC) catalysts bearing ether-based compounds (ETs) were prepared to investigate their performances for the ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of various epoxides. The prepared catalysts were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray powder diffraction. Their catalytic activities for the ROP of propylene oxide were tested to elucidate the effect of these complexing agents (CAs) on the active sites. Compared with t-butyl alcohol, the ETs produced DMC catalysts with higher catalytic activity, thus demonstrate the benefits of ETs on the preparation of high efficacy DMC catalysts. Further studies on the catalytic behavior of this catalyst for the ROP of various epoxides were investigated. The resultant polyols were analyzed by using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and gel permeation chromatography. All producing polyols have moderate molecular weights (Mn = 3000-13000).
