Titanium dioxide (TiO2), such as high refractive index inorganic filler, was usually used to incorporate into polymer matrixes to improve their optical performance. Unfortunately. TiO2 nanofiler is difficult to disperse uniformly because strong property of aggregating with each other. In this study, we were introduced [3-(methacryloyloxy)propyl]trimethoxysilane to improve their dispersibility and mechanical property. The modified TiO2 nanofiller was fabricated by in-situ method. In-situ method is to how to proceed with the synthesis of TiO2 particle and modification by one-step, it can synthesized in a smaller and more uniform than the ex-situ method, such as simply surface modification. The synthesized TiO2 nanofillers were characterized using Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). Their optical properties were characterized Ellipsometer and Hazemeter. |
