Functionalized and ordered mesoporous silica materials prepared from a structure directing template have potentials in vast applications such as catalyst, adsorbent, separation, sensor, nanoreactor, and delivery. In this study, we prepared melamine-functionalized periodic mesoporous organosilica by co-condensation of N,N,N-tris(triethoxysilylpropyl)melamine and tetraethyl orthosilicate in the presence of cetyl trimethylammonium bromide under basic conditions. The structures of the functionalized mesoporous silica particles were investigated by XRD, N2 adsorption/desorption isotherms, 29Si CP/MAS solid NMR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. |
