제목 Improvement of NF membrane performance using poly(ethersulfone)-NH2
초록 Polyethersulfone(PES) is commonly used polymer in nanofiltration membrane (NF membrane). But PES membrane has hydrophobic character, so it has disadvantage for water treatment. It leads to unsuitable NF membrane property like low water flux, high sensitivity of membrane fouling. In water treatment membrane, water flux and salt rejection are important factor for considering the membrane performance. A good membrane has higher water flux and higher salt rejection. I expect to improvement of water flux by amination of PES. Amination of PES is proceeded after nitration of PES. Aminated PES could be detected by FT-IR spectroscopy. After amine termination, PES/PES-NH2 solution was made to membrane. I apply NIPS (non-solvent induced phase separation) method. PES/PES-NH2 solution was casted by a doctor blade on polyethylene separator, and immersed into a water bath. And it kept in the water bath for 24h. After wet phase inversion process, membrane was drying at room temperature. To block the salt ion, Trimesoly chloride(TMC) and m-phenylenediamine(MPDA) are coating on membrane.
