Vanadium dioxide(VO2) is a compound that undergoes a prompt, first order metal-to-insulator transition (MIT) at a temperature of ∼68℃ accompanied by a structural change from an insulating, low temperature monoclinic form VO2 to a high-temperature, metallic rutile structure VO2. The MIT near room temperature and the high-speed phase transition make this compound a promising candidate for new electronic applications, such as Smart window, Sensor. It is known that we can reduce the phase transition temperature of VO2 by doping W, Sbnon VO2. In this study, we synthesized VO2 nanoparticle using V2O5 precursor and controlled pH. We fabricated inverse opal film by slide coating the mixed aqeuous dispersion of VO2 nanoparticle, spherical PS particles and TiO2 nanoparticles. Also, we fabricated inverse opal VO2 films at conductive glass plate by electrochemical reduction of V5+ while templating with PMMA monolayer. We made an attempt to apply it for thermochromic film near room temperature. |
